Nature Walk

Another amazingly beautiful Fall day here in NW Oregon... nice and sunny with a little chill in the air! Went on a fabulous walk with my friend/neighbor Kate, and our kids. We spent time exploring in the woods and down at the pond. Saw a snail, several {gross!} slugs, two very happy white ducks, a huge crawdad, and lots of cute little minnows. I didn't bring my camera because I wanted to have my hands free, a decision I regretted about 5 minutes into our walk ;)

Lovely Birdhouses

My kids know I love birdhouses, and Jossalyn and Elijah have each made one for me! Jossalyn's is the two-story model on the left, created about 8 years ago. Elijah's is the one story model, created around the same time. Hmmmmm.... I wonder if Emma is going to follow suit and make me one, too? ;)
