Brrrrrrr!

Today is a great day to be inside, all cozy & warm... Winter is definitely sneaking up on us. It's one of those days just made for drinking hot tea, bundling up in a quilt, & watching college football. I went out for a bit to shoot some more of our beautiful fall colors. Our little tree in the front yard is bravely hanging onto it's leaves, despite some strong wind & rain storms lately.

Pink!

I decided to mix things up a bit from all of my Fall posts & throw in some pink! I love roses & pink and can never get too much of either. Thankfully we still have quite a bit of Fall color left here in NW Oregon, mostly oranges and reds. So... you may be seeing more of those colors ;)

Nature Walk

Another amazingly beautiful Fall day here in NW Oregon... nice and sunny with a little chill in the air! Went on a fabulous walk with my friend/neighbor Kate, and our kids. We spent time exploring in the woods and down at the pond. Saw a snail, several {gross!} slugs, two very happy white ducks, a huge crawdad, and lots of cute little minnows. I didn't bring my camera because I wanted to have my hands free, a decision I regretted about 5 minutes into our walk ;)

My Favorite Season

After a long, warm and sunny summer, Fall weather is finally here. The chilly kind of weather that makes you want to put on a sweater, drink hot cocoa or hot apple cider, eat soup, & bake warm, yummy desserts. Pumpkin everything is in stock at Trader Joe's {yay!} and we picked up a package of Pumpkin Pecan Oatmeal on Saturday.

Lovely Birdhouses

My kids know I love birdhouses, and Jossalyn and Elijah have each made one for me! Jossalyn's is the two-story model on the left, created about 8 years ago. Elijah's is the one story model, created around the same time. Hmmmmm.... I wonder if Emma is going to follow suit and make me one, too? ;)

Mums & A Love Note

I love Fall colored mums! The leaves are starting to turn here, and I am looking forward to getting out to shoot more of the beautiful colors.
